Holiday ideas for visitors to Jogja
Fanny Yu is a guzheng (古筝) player and singer based in Sleman, Yogyakarta. Visitors and newcomers can choose from 3 options:
Holiday Program: short private guzheng (古筝) lessons, 1 on 1, 45 minutes per session, on a schedule you choose.
Photoshoot: guzheng (古筝) and hanfu rental delivered to the place you pick, with help taking the photos.
Build your holiday days around 1 main activity
Pick one thing you really want to do that day, such as visiting a temple, enjoying a mountain view, or learning the guzheng (古筝). Everything else follows at an easy pace, so every day feels fun and is easy to remember.

Why learning the guzheng (古筝) makes a great main activity
One session is only 45 minutes, so your day stays open. You go home with something you can play.
In the Holiday Program you learn privately with Fanny Yu. We set the schedule together around your plans.
Beginner students start from zero, and the first song is simple but already sounds lovely.
Hanfu try-on and photoshoot
For photos with a story, selected packages include a bonus hanfu try-on and a photoshoot at 1 tourist spot. We lend you a guzheng (古筝) for the photos and help take them.

Transport to the tourist spot, accommodation, and entry tickets are charged separately. Details are on the Holiday Program page.
Tips for a smooth trip
Tell us your lesson schedule early, so you can plan the other days comfortably.
Give yourself time to rest after a long trip, then come to the lesson fresh.
Keep your nails short. The right hand wears picks (finger guards for plucking) on the fingers, so short nails make plucking more comfortable.
