Express Class: Traditional Instrument Guzheng Music Course in Jogja, a Fun Holiday Idea
Visiting Jogja for just 1 to 5 days but still want to take home something different? The Express Class by Fanny Yu fits around your holiday itinerary: learn the guzheng (古筝), a traditional Chinese instrument, directly from a guzheng player in Jogja. No experience needed.
The Express Class is a short course of 1 to 3 private sessions (1 session = 45 minutes), with a bonus photoshoot and video-take wearing hanfu. It suits travellers, families, and international students with limited time.

T&C apply
- Hanfu sizes currently available: girls aged 4-8, women in sizes S and M, men in size L. For anything else, we will help point you to a rental shop.
- The photoshoot and video-take last 1 hour. Guzheng (古筝) delivery and pick-up to the tourist spot is FREE up to 20 minutes from our location; beyond that +IDR 25,000/km. Travel time is not counted in the duration. Extra photo or video time: +IDR 250,000 per 30 minutes.
- The photoshoot and video-take may be done on separate days (up to 2 different days) and use your guzheng (古筝) session allowance. Example for a 3-session package + photos: choose 3, 2, or 1 guzheng (古筝) sessions, and spend the rest exploring together with photos or video.
- Only valid if you buy a discounted package.
- Excludes tourist-spot tickets, parking, tolls, accommodation, and other costs.
- FREE if taken with your own phone. Professional equipment rental (DSLR camera, lightbox, tripod, etc.) is charged extra at the rental shop price.
- A recording for clearer guzheng (古筝) sound quality is charged extra and calculated separately.

Do I need to know how to play?
Not at all! You can start from zero and choose your own goals and the songs you want to learn.
How long is one session?
45 minutes, private 1 on 1 with the teacher. You can add more sessions any time with the Add-on button on the prices page.
What if my holiday is only 1 to 5 days?
Perfect! The Express Class is made for short holidays: pick 1 to 3 guzheng (古筝) sessions, then arrange the photoshoot and video-take around your itinerary. Want to talk through your itinerary first? It is FREE.
Can I skip the photoshoot?
Yes. On the prices page, untick the photoshoot and video-take box. Price and schedule update automatically.
Where are the lessons held?
Choose online, at the teacher's home (we send the address on WhatsApp after you register), or the teacher comes to you (you need your own guzheng (古筝)). The teacher's transport for trips up to 20 minutes is included; beyond that an extra fee per km applies.
Can I pay in instalments?
Yes. Please talk to us first on WhatsApp for the scheme. Instalments must be fully paid before the last session.
What bonuses do I get?
If you choose a promo package: a FREE hanfu try-on and a 1-hour photoshoot and video-take at 1 tourist spot with a guzheng (古筝). Photos and video can be on separate days to fit your itinerary (see the T&C section).
What happens after I register?
You receive a confirmation email and we contact you on WhatsApp to confirm the schedule. The invoice is sent once the schedule is agreed.
